How Are Mountains Formed
1.The Tectonic plates are always moving.One day they separate.
2. The separation leaves some land below.The lava pushes the land below the gap created by the
separation.
3.When lava pushes the land below the gap upward a big cone is formed.
4.To make the the mountain not go too high, gravity pushes it downward.
5.With lava pushing it upward and gravity pushing it downward the mountain stays balanced
and this is how a mountain is formed.
Fun Fact-Tectonic plates move up to an inch per year.
